The Photo Matching Tool in AMP allows you to link images to the correct products in your catalog. Follow these steps to ensure that your products display the right photos.
Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure the following:
Upload All Photos to AMP
All product photos must be uploaded to the Photos section in AMP.Assign SKUs to Pages
Each product must have a Page ID assigned in your catalog. This is needed for the matching process.
Step 1: Access the Photo Matching Tool
- In the AMP CMS, go to Manage Catalog > Slideshows/Catalogs.
- Click Match Photos next to your Full Catalog.
Alternatively, you can go to Manage Catalog > Photos and access the tool there.
Step 2: Choose the Correct Slideshow (If Applicable)
- If you have multiple master slideshows (uncommon), select the slideshow you want to match photos for from the Slideshows dropdown.
Step 3: Match Photos to Product Pages
You can match photos using either the Page ID (the page name in your catalog) or the SKU.
To update the Page (hero) photo for a catalog page:
- Search for the Page ID you wish to update.
- In the image selection area below, drag an image into the PAGE box (this sets the page's main image).
To update photos for individual SKUs:
- Search for the SKU or click the Page to expand it and view the list of SKUs.
- For each SKU, you can assign:
- Page Image (Hero Shot): This is the main image for the page and is the same for all SKUs on that page.
- Solo Image: This image will appear when the SKU is viewed individually. Drag the image from the selection area into the SOLO box.
- Supporting Images: These images will be shown in a gallery for the SKU. Drag images into the OTHERS section. The order in which images are placed matters, as they cannot be reordered once added.
- Search for the SKU or click the Page to expand it and view the list of SKUs.
Step 4: Verify the Changes
After matching the images, go to AMP Sell or AMP Shop and check the product pages to ensure the correct images are displayed.
Troubleshooting Tips
- SKU on Multiple Pages:
- If a SKU appears on multiple pages, the Page Image (hero shot) may be overwritten by another page’s image, causing it to display the same image across multiple pages.
