In AMP, you can add extra information to products by using Order Notes and Annotations. These are helpful for providing additional context or details about products, which can be displayed in different locations in the catalog and order forms.

To Add Order Notes

Order Notes allow you to add special instructions or information about a product that will appear on the order form.

Steps:

  1. Open Your Product Table

    • Navigate to your product table where you want to add the order notes.
  2. Create a New Column for Order Notes

    • Add a new column to your product table.
    • Label the header of this column something like Order Notes or a more descriptive name if preferred.
  3. Tag the Column as "Item Ordering Notes"

    • In the column tag dropdown, select Item Ordering Notes.
    • This tag ensures that the data you input in this column is properly recognized and displayed on the order form.

  4. Use the Order Notes

    • The notes entered in this column will be displayed on the order form just above the Optional Rep Notes section for each product.
    • These notes can be used to provide additional instructions like customization details, special handling requests, or other relevant info.

To Add Annotations

Annotations allow you to display extra information on the product catalog page, typically shown above the product photo.

Steps:

  1. Open Your Product Table

    • Navigate to your product table where you want to add annotations.
  2. Create a New Column for Annotations

    • Add a new column to your product table.
    • Label the header of this column as Annotations (or something similar).
  3. Tag the Column as "Page Annotation"

    • In the column tag dropdown, select Page Annotation.
    • This tag will ensure the annotation appears in the correct place on the product catalog page.

  4. Use the Annotations

    • The annotations will appear on the product catalog page just below the collection title and above the product photo.
    • Use this space to add any additional information you want to highlight about the product, such as special features, key selling points, or other important details.

Summary

  • Order Notes are displayed on the order form above the rep notes.
  • Annotations are displayed in the product catalog above the photo and below the collection title.

By using these fields effectively, you can provide more detailed information about each product and improve the overall customer experience in your catalog and during the order process.
