Filters in AMP Shop and AMP Sell help reps and buyers quickly locate products based on specific criteria. By turning certain columns in your product catalog into filters, users can narrow down their search and find exactly what they need more efficiently.


To Add Filters to Your Product Catalog:

  1. Identify the Column You Want to Use as a Filter:

    • Review your Product Table and identify the column(s) you want to convert into a filter.
    • If the column does not already exist in your table, you’ll need to add it to your Product Table.

  2. Contact Support to Enable the Filter:

    • Once you've identified the column(s), email support@amptab.com with the names of the column(s) you’d like to convert into filters.
    • Include the exact name of the column(s) as they appear in your Product Table.

  3. What Happens Next:

    • The AMP Support team will configure the selected column(s) as filters in AMP Shop and/or AMP Sell.
    • The column name will become the name of the filter.
    • The unique values in that column will be displayed as selectable filter options. For example, if you select a Category column, the filter options will show the distinct categories, such as "Living Room," "Bedroom," "Dining," etc.

  4. Verify the Filters:

    • After the filters are added, log into AMP Sell or AMP Shop.
    • Go to the product catalog and verify that the filter is now displayed and functioning properly.
    • The filter options should be available on the left-hand side or wherever filters are displayed, depending on your settings.


Pro Tips:

  • Use Clear, Descriptive Column Names: The name of the filter will be taken directly from the column name, so make sure the column name clearly describes the filter (e.g., "Color," "Material," "Size," "Category").
  • Multiple Filters: You can request multiple columns to be turned into filters. These will appear as separate filters in your catalog to help users refine their search.


By using filters, you enhance the search experience for your reps and buyers, making it easier for them to navigate your product catalog.
