When walking through a market or guiding a customer through a showroom, many items are tagged with QR codes. You can use these codes to quickly find specific products in your AMP Sell catalog. Here’s how to scan QR codes effectively.


Using QR Codes to Find a Product:

  1. Tap the QR Code Tab

    • From the main screen, tap the QR Code tab at the bottom right of the screen.

  2. Scan the QR Code

    • Point your camera at the QR code and ensure it’s centered on the screen. The app will automatically scan the code.


Troubleshooting Common QR Code Issues:

1. QR Code Won't Scan

  • Increase Lighting: Ensure there is enough light on the QR code to help the camera capture it clearly.
  • Contact the Manufacturer: If the code still doesn't scan, ask your manufacturer to provide a new QR code.

2. Camera is Showing a Dark Screen

  • Remove Obstructions: Make sure there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. Common issues include iPad cases or fingers covering the lens.

3. Camera is Not Opening

  • Check Camera Permissions:
    1. Go to the Settings app on your iPad.


    2. Scroll down or search to find AMP Sell and tap on it.
    3. Toggle the Camera permission to On (green) to enable the camera for AMP Sell.


4. Wrong Product Appears When Scanning

  • Check Product Grouping: Ensure that the scanned product is not part of a larger product group or variation.
  • Contact the Manufacturer: If the wrong product is still showing, reach out to your manufacturer to have the QR code corrected.
